Colour and finishes.

We strive to accurately present our products, especially in terms of colour, description, and price, both in our showrooms and on our website. Our showrooms offer a wide range of product displays and fabric/leather options, and our sales consultants are skilled in explaining the natural characteristics of our products. We encourage you to ask as many questions as necessary to ensure the materials you choose are suitable for your lifestyle.

When shopping online, please be aware that the appearance of goods can vary depending on the device you use to access our website. Sofaworx cannot be held responsible for any errors in ordering items whose actual colour differs from that displayed on the website as viewed on your computer. For this reason, we strongly recommend visiting one of our showrooms to see the true colour of the item. We urge you to be certain of your made-to-order product choice. According to the Consumer Protection Act, we are not obligated to accept cancellations of any customized product.

All pre-manufactured items will incur a 10% cancellation fee after a
cooling-off period of ten days.

Payment methods:

Credit Card: Please note that we do not accept credit cards registered outside of South Africa, such as American Express.

EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer): Kindly be aware that it may take up to 3 business working days for the payment to reflect in our bank account.

Cash:We accept cash payments.

Customer orders:

Deposit: A 50% deposit is required at the time of placing all orders.

Balance Payment: The balance is due upon completion before delivery or collection.

Ownership: All orders remain the property of Sofaworx until payment has been received in full.

Online Purchases: All online purchases will require full payment before we start the manufacturing process or dispatch any items.

General Care

At Sofaworx, we pride ourselves on producing high-quality furniture. Our leather items retain their natural character, with markings like healed scars and variations in graining being normal and indicative of genuine leather’s robustness. Wooden furniture may show knots, small cracks, and color variations, which are natural characteristics and not defects.

3.1 Leather Furniture

Sunlight: Avoid direct sunlight exposure to prevent faster fading.

Leather Care: Use Sofaworx’s specialized leather food for regular treatment (once or twice a year, or more frequently in extreme weather conditions).

Fading: Natural fading of leather over time is expected and not indicative of poor quality.

Spills: Wipe off any liquid spills immediately.

High Traffic & Spillage: Consider treating furniture with a fibre protection sealant for high traffic areas or potential spillages. This treatment may slightly alter the appearance of open grain leathers and should be reapplied annually.

3.2 Fabric Upholstered Furniture

Sunlight: Avoid direct sunlight exposure to prevent fabric fading.

Cleaning: Spills can be wiped or washed off using standard fabric cleaners.

Protection: Scotch guarding is recommended for stain resistance in high traffic areas.

Cushions: Regularly puff up cushions with loose filling to ensure even distribution and comfort.

3.3 Wood Furniture

Treatment: Use Jax Oleum wood wax for treating our Oakwood furniture.
